Sentinel Research Society, led by IWP doctoral students and supported by graduate students and interns, is dedicated to developing creative, unconventional, and non-governmental solutions to counterintelligence (CI) challenges.

Publishing
Research is pointless without the ability to share it with the academic community. Sentinel Research Society maintains two academic publications for this purpose:
- The Sentinel Review: Publishes short peer-reviewed articles and thought pieces on counterintelligence.
- Sentinel Journal: Traditional peer reviewed journal publishing research and academic studies focused on CI and National Security issues.
- Common Ground Podcast: Features discussions, interviews, and insights from experts and students on CI topics.
Activities and Collaboration
- Research Projects: Collaborative research on innovative CI solutions.
- Discussion Events and Exercises: Host events to discuss emerging threats and strategies.
- Working Groups: Focused groups led by doctoral students to tackle specific CI challenges.
Volunteer Roles
- Doctoral Volunteers: Lead working groups, research projects, host podcasts, and peer review articles for The Sentinel Review.
- Graduate Student Volunteers: Participate in events and working groups, write articles, coordinate and support events, assist in research, and support social media campaigns.

Several academic researchers and members of the Board of Directors are federal employees, including those serving in various agencies within the Department of Defense and the U.S. intelligence community.
All research, publications, and products of the Sentinel Research Society represent the academic opinions of the contributing researchers and the Board of Directors. They are not intended to reflect the views, policies, or positions of the U.S. government, the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, or any other federal agency. Furthermore, no Sentinel Research Society products should be interpreted as the professional opinions or official positions of any government agency.
